Paradise Lost
We worked with the incredibly talented artist Anna Berry on this project. It was a piece to mark MK50. Members of the homeless community talked about how they feel about Milton Keynes whilst ripping up architectural plans. The work was about how we try to plan our lives just as the architects of Milton Keynes tried to plan what they saw as a utopian vision for the town with affordable housing for all. Sometimes plans don’t quite work out though. We asked members of the homeless community what they thought now of MK? Where had it gone wrong and what could be done to tackle the housing crisis we now have? You can now see the results of Anna’s hard work, vision and talent at http://www.annaberry.co.uk/3-2/installation-pieces/pardise-lost/.
Many thanks to OpenDoorMK, Elliot Willis and the incredible interviewees.
