Talking Heads
By Alan Bennett
Join us for two brilliant performances on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th February.
A Chip In The Sugar
Graham in A Chip in The Sugar is unable to function without his mother. When his mother re kindles a friendship with a past flame, Mr Turnbull, Graham is jealous and protective of his mother. He would never admit that he is married to his mother but by the end of the play will he seek his independence and admit his sexuality?
Bed Among The Lentils
Susan in Bed Among The Lentils is an alcoholic who later finds solace and intimacy in an affair with an Asian grocer, Mr Ramesh. However, by the end of the piece Susan is even more trapped as her success in kicking the demon drink means she is completely at the mercy of the vicar Geoffrey and his fan club. As she says “I never liked going to one church and I end up going to two”.
