This was a great success and audience feedback was immensely positive. Four new plays were performed which dealt with diverse and difficult subjects such as mental health and terrorism. The last play though was a comedy and this ended the evening. It also touched on some tricky issues, but it was also very funny, slick and fast paced. We aimed to push women writers too so three out of the four playwrights were women. It can be hard to get a new play produced and our two more established playwrights Francis Grin and Julia Pascal testified to that fact and sent lovely emails to the company thanking us for all our work. That makes it all worthwhile.
