We are delighted to inform you that we are working alongside our sister company Pepper's Ghost on a fantastic new production of Thornton Wilders play "Our Town".
The production will be part of the MK50 Home Sweet Home project working with all the gifted practitioners of Grid Arts.
Our Town is a rich and textured play with plenty of characters to tell the life span of a town in America at the turn of the last century. It conveys a strong community spirit and the importance and listening to and being aware of all the little details in life that bring joy. To understand that every single one of us has a story and that our story is worth listening to. Our stories make the framework of a developing community and that is something that we have in common with Our Town... our voices have value, our stories must be told, that is what makes MK Home Sweet Home.
If you are interested in auditioning for Our Town by Thornton Wilder then please register your interest by emailing Rosemary.Hill@which.net.
Auditions will be held in on Sunday July 23rd 2pm - 6pm and recalls on Sunday 30th July 2pm - 6pm - both at the Bath House in Wolverton.
Rehearsals will start in September.
Performances will be at Stantonbury Theatre on 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th November 7.30pm and a matinee on 1st November at 2.30pm.
Austerity by Mike Elliston
Earlier this year we produced a fabulous piece of theatre that received funding from the Arts Council of England as well as from Milton Keynes Community Foundation. The production of Austerity by Mike Elliston was a wonderful success and we were lucky enough to have local Milton Keynes photographer Karen Kodish capture some beautifully shot backstage images that we are delighted that we can now share with you. Karen has a great gift in acquiring images that illustrate the spirit of backstage life. The fun that is shared, the concentration and the passion. We know that you will enjoy the images as much as we have.

So far this year we have produced two wonderful plays, Austerity by Mike Elliston and Ghosts by Henrik Ibsen and we are now planning our joint production with our sister company Pepper's Ghost of Our Town by Thornton Wilder. This exemplifies our passion for producing great theatre in Milton Keynes. We are currently designing our future programme so make sure that you keep up to date with us to be the first to discover what we are planning next! Exciting times lie ahead for us and we are delighted to have you along to share in the journey with us.
